About this year

The first NeuroDataReHack was held at the Allen Institute in Seattle in October 2022, when the DANDI Archive held just under 90 datasets in the NWB format. It was the first event of its type for the NWB community, so the organizers learned as much about how to facilitate data reuse as the participants learned about the data. Of 52 applicants, 28 were accepted and all attended.

The program began with an online data showcase, then a day of core training on searching DANDI, using DANDI Hub, and reading NWB files, followed by invited talks on analysis tools and two days of project work ending in short presentations. The Kavli Foundation organized a Neurodata Discovery Award as an opportunity for attendees to apply for funding to continue projects conceived at the event.
